How Harambol uses your information. Last updated 9 October 2026.
Who we are
Harambol is a private fantasy football game run by AISTUDIO.LONDON LIMITED (company number 17147719), registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. We are the controller of your personal data and are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (registration C1905339).
Your account: name, email address, and optionally a username, team name, badge and mobile number.
Your game: your squad, lineups, transfer bids and draft picks, points and league positions.
Messages: if you link WhatsApp, the messages you send the Harambol bot and the replies it sends you.
Sign-in: your sign-in is handled by Clerk, which records the email address you sign in with and basic session details.
Usage: if you accept analytics cookies, which pages you open and what you click, collected with PostHog analytics.
Why we use it
To run the game: your team, scores, transfers and league tables, which other managers in your league can see.
To sign you in and keep your account secure.
To send you game messages on WhatsApp, only if you opt in. You can turn them off at any time by replying STOP.
To understand how the game is used, so we can improve it.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a game you have chosen to join, and your consent for WhatsApp messages and analytics cookies.
Cookies
On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. They are off unless you choose Accept, and Reject is just as easy.
Strictly necessary: cookies that keep you signed in (set by Harambol and Clerk), and one cookie, harambol_consent, that remembers your analytics choice for a year. The game cannot work without these, so they do not need your consent.
Analytics (only if you accept): PostHog cookies and browser storage, named ph_, that let us count page views and clicks.
You can change your choice at any time. If you withdraw consent we delete the PostHog cookies from your browser.
Who else handles it
We use these providers to run Harambol. They only use your data to provide their service to us.
Clerk: sign-in.
Meta (WhatsApp): game messages, if you opt in.
PostHog (EU hosting): usage analytics, if you accept analytics cookies.
Vultr (London): the servers the game runs on.
Amazon Web Services (London): encrypted backups.
Google: backup copies of auction records.
Anthropic: an AI model that reads WhatsApp messages you send the bot, so it can understand requests like setting a lineup or making a transfer.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
WhatsApp message text: 90 days.
Backups: 90 days.
Your account and game history: while you are part of a Harambol league, so past results stay intact. Ask us and we will delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the game if the change matters.
